Are you impressed?

After having the bye week to work on and tweak the O-line I would say it was a marginal improvement. The running game was better but until DG can be consistent throwing the ball, we will struggle to run the ball consistently. I shudder to think how this offense would look if Lewan had gone to the NFL. Bottom line, if DG continues to be inaccurate we could very easily lose anyone of our last 5 games. I would still be shocked if we lose to the Hoosiers at home but even Penn St worries me a little with the game being in Happy Valley. Also, I think Morris takes the job from Gardner next year. Go Blue!

We haven't seen anything from Morris, yet. The little bit we did see him, he didn't look any better than DG and he isn't nearly the playmaker that Gardner is. Morris would really have to put on a passing clinic in camp and spring practices to make up the ground he's behind.

As for your question, No, I"m not impressed. It took far too long for us to get anything going after that opening TD. The D looked iffy. The O-line was inconsistent as always. The D-line sucked with the exception of a play or two. Funchess looked great and Gallon was okay, but seemed like he is no longer DG's #1 target. Glad they got Chesson some easy catches. Tired of seeing gimicky formations that really do nothing. I'd give this game a C+

Not impressed yet but its a start. If I had a check list at the start of the game of things I wanted to see it would have

1. Improved OL play
2. Improved QB play
3. No turnovers
4. No big plays on D
5. Penalties
6. Pressure on the QB

We really did 5 of the 6. Not impressed with the play of the DL. That being said we looked better today and got better as the game went on. We didnt rely on Gardner to make as many running plays. We finally got Funchess involved. Game was perfect but better and at least improved after a couple really bad games. The main point is we are 5-0.

I am hopeful. The second half was good. Last drive had some very good passes. I think it is a good thing that Gallon is not the #1 target. That will pay off in the long run since he seems to get open at the most opportune times in big games. Don't forget that Jake Ryan is do back next game or maybe the game after that. The D will be better with Jake back. If the O can keep playing like they did in the 2nd half, I am not worried about PSU or Indiana. I never would have thought it would be possible, but the team that worries me the most is NW.

Northwestern worries me also. To tell you the truth, with our lack of a pass rush Indiana worries me more than they should.

With this team every game worries me we just wont know game to game what we have.

People who think Morris should be in now or will get the job next year should be stripped of their posting privileges. That's just stupid.

With that said, the O-line blocked very well. We dominated many drives by running, not throwing, and with Funchess basically playing a WR roll, it gives Gardner a big target to throw to - and it showed. Gardner had a great day, despite what you say.

Really? Gardner was consistently bailed out today by his Receivers. He just isn't accurate with his throws and unless that changes a good defense will make him pay. Now, he is incredibly gifted and if he can start throwing with a bit of accuracy, he would be unstoppable. He won't lose his job to a Freshman QB but if he doesn't improve as a passer then I could see him losing it next year, if Morris lives up to his billing.

The morris talk reminds me of the damion terry talk. If you've never seen someone play then you've never seen them make mistakes so they must be great. The unknown seems greater than the know commodity.

Except nobody on this thread is pining for Morris to takeover this year, unlike Terry.

The known commodity at Michigan is 8-2 and is the most athletic player on the field every Saturday.

Why can everyone pine for Green, but no one can pine for Morris? Morris is a 5* qb just like Green is a 5* rb. Seems to me Fitz has had far less mistakes than Gardner. Gardner has put this team in every hole it has been in. I cannot say the same for Fitz. I am not saying that Morris should start, just saying what's fair is fair. You can't hold it against people for wanting a change or at least a short term experiment. Anyone remember a freshman named Henson?

foot ball team should win every game 63 - 0. me not impressed

I watched a bunch of run plays on my dvr going frame by frame. Chris Bryant played very poorly. They basically swapped a big problem at center for a big problem at left guard.

Morris isn't Henson. He can't even be a Henne as there is no Braylon. Gardner taking care of the ball and creating on 3rd downs and when things break down is what will get things done. He can make all the passes Morris can and can't make.

Let Morris be more Brady than Henson. Sit and get yours when you can.

If that's what it is, then MN didn't get a chance to see it on film and prepare for it like the rest of the Big Ten will.
