Get StartedI like late games. I can usually get a bunch a people to watch the game with.
I also don't act like I'm 6 or 60 and can stay up til midnight unlike M&B lol
Wait a second. I can, and do, stay up to watch these games - I just hate doing so. There's a huge difference. I hate catering to the TV networks. Games should be at 12:00 or 3:30....no matter where or who we play.
Not to mention, as TW24 did, I hate waiting around all day for my game to start.
Personally, I enjoy night games, but I worry about the increased opportunity for students to act like knuckleheads while the spotlight is on them.
I thought that would be a problem, but I was at the ND game LY, and didn't see anything too crazy. there was a little more drinking beforehand, but the people that overdid it just kinda passed out prior to the game. they didn't go the Stadium and bring da ruckus.
despite drinking any number of beers over the course of our tailgate, and doing shots of wild turkey with Vic, and a bunch of frat boys on the way to the game, I was more or less sober by halftime. Not sure how that happened.
some game times aren't set until 10 days before game
i was proud how we handled night game here
you realize this is two away games both at night - i think it is tougher on the players due to the sitting around - and how to keep them occupied and ready all day
Its gotta be tough on Hoke to. The poor guy doesnt eat before games. I wouldnt want to be the one standing between him and the buffet after the game.
