Beatles White Album... released 50 years ago today

"While My Guitar Gently Weeps" was just playing on the stereo. i looked it up, and noticed it came out not only this year, but The SAME day.

crazy thing for us Gen Xers is to realize the gap in time between our birth and when all the "classic rock hits" were released in the 60's and 70's, which always seemed so vast, is now greatly dwarfed by the time that has elapsed since then.

I was 11 and I should not have listened to it then; I was very impressionable and it did me no good to hear it. A very dark and somber tone to the entire album that I think fortold the demise of the band (Ringo quit the band for several days) and also the loudest of all herald-cries of the three original Beatles trying to tell us that Paul McCartney actually was killed in a car wreck in November 1966 and was replaced by a look- and sound-alike doppleganger named Billy Shepherd. (Yes, I have come to believe this).

I don’t know...The passenger in this video seems to know things only Sir Paul would know...although the video might’ve been doctored, as it appears Corden is driving on wrong side of the car.
