Maybe someone can throw a bat at him after the first pitch.

40 years ago, and I still have hate for that f'n asshole.
They should have let Billy Martin punch his lights out like he wanted to.

I get the feeling the a's have some shit planned because Al Al kissed the ball.

whiney punk bitches like reddick, crisp, and gomes will probably be in the middle of it.

I had no idea Billy Martin ever managed the Tigers.

Also...isn't Bert Campaneris mentioned in that Bare Naked Ladies song?

Billy managed the Tigers from 1971-1973. Had problems with several of the Tigers veterans, and finally GM Jim Campbell had enough and fired him.
Northrup, Horton, few more players had problems with Billy, playing, sitting them.

I'm genuinely surprised that you didn't know that. Not a criticism, just an observation. Martin was a thorn in the Tigers' vets side. They did not like being bossed around after being allowed some latitude by Mayo Smith. And Martin was the guy who once picked a lineup out of a hat because the Tigers were not hitting. Cash leadoff and Eddie Brinkman batted cleanup. Martin did that several times and other managers have as well.

This Wiki quote sums up Billy Martin: "While posing for a baseball card as the manager for the Detroit Tigers in 1972, Martin gave photographers the middle finger. The gesture went unnoticed until after the card's release."
