Not known yet who the Tigers gave up.

Get StartedPretty sure Sanchez is arbitration eligible. I've got full confidence in us being able to resign both if we want to.Rob Brantly, Brian Flynn and Jacob Turner for a rental? (Sanchez) and Infante, signed to 2013. it looks like win now time.

Omar's having a good season with the bat and Sanchez has K'd 110 in 121 IP. I like this trade.
Omar has fallen off and I like Sanchez k to walk ratio. I just always get a bit willy trading for a NL pitcher. I hope I'm dead wrong.
Omar doesn't take hardly any walks...hence the lower OBP
Is that how it works ;-)
so Im told.....Delmon Young did a whole lecture nn it one night when he was half in the bag in a downtown bar...saw it on youtube :yay:
If the Tigers resign Anibal Sanchez, which they will, how much are the Tigers really giving up? They are giving up Turner, who is still another season or so away from the majors, Brantly, who is blocked by Avila, and Flynn, who is nothing more than a bullpen guy.
It isn't that much IMO for a good 2B to fill the black hole and a solid #3/#4 starter who will give you innings and give you a good chance to win every time he pitches.
Another piece that everyone seems to be overlooking is the fact that the Tigers now essentially have two 1st round draft picks, if they don't sign a Type A free agent this offseason, in which the Tigers could fill those spots left by Turner and Brantly with some high upside talent.
The Tigers have seemingly been drafting better as well the last couple years, so I'm not really that worried about the farm system.
I'm just glad they never got rid of Castellanos. So Far!!
