Broyles ruptured achilles

Hurt on a fair catch.

Burleson back and Durham stepping up. Throw on the junk pile now. Great backup plan Mayhew with Burleson and Durham.

I hope they shit him down till next year: give him more than enough time to recover. Should he not be ready at any point next year then hopefully they cut their losses. Everytime they gambled on a player with an injury history it's bitten them in the ass.

K guys. Ive heard alot of talk about the Lions trading for a receiver before the deadline. Do you guys see it as a possibility? If so, who do you guys think they are looking at, and who do you think they can afford? Ive heard names like Cecil Shorts(my fave), Josh Gordon, Hakeem Nicks, and Kenny Britt thrown around.

I say it's very unlikely with Nate coming back.

But he's your boy and now you want him on the Junkpile?

He has talent. We'll put him on the such a shame he got hurt pile with Best.

Young and Derrick Williams are on the junk pile.

Young should be on the its a shame his cheese slipped off his cracker pile. Derrick Williams = junk pile.

just giving the eyeball test here....but I think josh gordon is the best out of that bunch, probably has a more affordable contract than a guy like nicks will demand, and probably could be had for less of a return.

the injuries are unfortunate...sucks for him. I still contest he should have never been drafted...which had very little to do with injuries and more to do with need and skill. slot wr that high with nate infront of him and all the holes we had that offseason....throw in the injury history and it was one of the dumber picks mayhew has made. He made a luxury pick when we needed guys that can produce right away....when luxury picks don't work out it hurts just that much more imo.

Ive gotta agree with Hughes on this NOW. 2nd round for Broyles was insane.

Yep. We might bitch about his suckiness but most of that is because of his 2nd round status. If he went in the 4th we wouldn't be on his his case as much. Drafting a slot who already had an injury was pure stupid. That's on Mayhew.
