Made the patriots roster after a Gong Show tryout. Heard it from Peter King...
Just unbelievable...

His story is one that if made into a movie everyone would be like "that's just Hollywood, it could never happen for realz"

Especially with an ending where he goes from goat to GOAT 2 plays later (though that Kearse catch was unbelievable, no fault of Butler's really...like Rodney Harrison vs David Tyree...sometimes the WR just makes a great play). Granted Hollywood would have made that transition in 1 play instead of 2. Lol

Just like Tyree...15 minutes of fame to irrelevance. Butler better cash in soon because he will probably be back working at Popeye's in the near future.

to some maybe...not me. Give me the $30M!

You're assuming a guy like Butler plays one game, made 40 bucks, and he's gone. 3 years / 1.5m isn't bad with a SB ring. It would take me a long time to get a mill and a half.

we'll see. There is a reason he was working at Popeye's!

Where was Kurt Warner working?

He was bagging groceries. There are a few stories like that but most of the stories of no name guys making one big play...they return to being no name guys. Like David Tyree...54 catches, 650 yards, 4 TDs. That is his career!
