Seeing some stats for them last night as a duo, 1st in this and that, got me wondering if there has been a more productive tandem in Tiger's history? I couldn't think of any off the top. Maybe Cash and Kaline in 61?

I know you said duos,
Cash, Kaline, (and Colavito was great), Al and Norm for many years
Gehringer and Greenberg for sure, HOF'ers
Cobb, Crawford, (Veach), HOF'ers
Cobb, Heilmann, (Veach), HOF'ers

Cabrera and Martinez are leading in most all counting stats for 4 and 5 spot hitters.

No disrespect to Victor, but he isn't in Cabrera's class. He's a really good player, though, having a fine year. In my opinion, Avila has been a better offensive player this year than Victor...significantly higher slugging and on base.

Granderson + Magglio in 2007 was more productive and that was only a couple of years ago. I think fans forget how freaking incredible Magglio used to be.

I took a look at maggs stats from 07 and dam that was a monster year. I remember him being hot that year but 130 + rbis and .363 avg is smokin.
