Come on Frk bury that breakaway. Now Gus can’t bury a breakaway either :/

Well that was a bad break . Now 3-0 Capitals . Right off Red Wings skate .

Missed the 1st period now I feel like missing the last 2. Dang. Hoped we'd come out strong.

5-1 early Third . Larkin’s point streak continues. I think he is up to 5 games in a row with at least a point.

I guess Lashoff was called up for tonight’s game.

Hat trick for Alex sadly. His first verses Detroit. 6-1 now. His 21st in his career.

Yes, standings are close. But this game left nothing to be excited about.

Also keep in mind both teams in wildcard spot have game in hand.

Take for example NJ, they are currently last in the east. They have 3 games in hand, if they win all 3 they are tied with Detroit at 32.
Philly is 2nd last with 27 points and 4 games in hand. Should they win all 4 they woud be ahead of Detroit.

Literally the only team[in East] that can't match or exceed Detroit on games in hand is Ottawa and they are just 2 points back.

Given how teams play, Detroit could be as far back as 6 points back of Wild Card given the amount of games in hand.
