Carly Fiorina enters race, fails to buy URL on time, gets ruined

Sort of how she ruined HP?

Lol. She only gets run because she's got a private sector background.

Yeah.

From your link:
"What she left behind at Lucent/Bell Labs was a smoking ruin of what had been the world?s most important and productive research lab, an entity largely responsible for giving America the post-World War II boost that helped make the nation the world technology leader, contributing mightily to the prosperity that Americans took for granted but which came in no small measure from the pure research as practiced at the Bell Labs. By insisting that every piece of research be tied to a product, Fiorina and her ilk helped prevent a new generation of scientists from looking out over the far horizon and bringing back the kind of benefits that have come from such then-seemingly useless technologies including the transistor, laser, fiber optics.

The correlation between Fiorina?s tenure at the Bell Labs and the decline of American technology is tragic and is not coincidental. Despite the millions being spent on media to convince voters otherwise, Fiorina is one of those one-dimensional corporate bottom feeders whose only answer to fixing the bottom line is to fire thousands of people rather than finding creative ways to use the immense brainpower that could be used to grow a company and a nation out of economic hard times."
one of the biggest sales jobs put over on voters (and the public at large) is that a career in business means one understands how to run things, or the economy at large.

careerist job jumpers like Fiorina don't know much about any of the companies that employ them, just how to further their own careers. it's not like she knows how to build a computer, or even do more than turn one on (if that). the best CEO manage their employees well... the worst simply occupy an office in the c-suite, busy themselves with meetings and publicity, then leave and do the same somewhere else before anyone cathces on.

or they wear out their welcome (like Fiorina) either because of stubborness or cluelessness, and the board has to throw money at them to make them go away.

The HP/Compaq disaster is a basic Case Study for every MBA program in the country

HP used to be amazing. These days, you can find enough information to teach yourself to be the kind of signals engineer HP needs, but in the late 90's that stuff was rare. HP had well-written lessons all available and free online. Not links to stuff they had scanned from somewhere, they wrote their own versions of online textbooks, not on their products, on the math and physics. I worked for a company that used their materials to teach classes to interns.

I don't think Fiorino is very well known outside of California as far as politics goes.

She's got a lot of ground to make up against most of the other Republicans, seems to me.

Agreed. I think she's a token candidate who gives the primary the perception of diversity. She's a 'smart Palin' and has CEO all over her resume. If she stays on message during the primaries, she will make some waves and take shots at Jeb Bush, etc.

The more, the better ...and all the more entertaining!

The fact that you think she's token confirms she's got legs. In other words, for you Michigan Men, that she's going to gain traction during the debates and Primary season. I could be wrong, of course, but history suggests there is a much greater chance that you are wrong. Nevertheless, you remain "fucking awesome!"

I swear you get more and more incoherent with each post.

th

Old man yells at posters on the internet.

wasn't zyxt saying something about a study that showed a lot of voters base their decisions on a pic of the candidate only, or make up their minds within a second of seeing a pic of the candidate?

Poor Carly needs to find a better makeup artist ASAP if she hopes to have a shot.

She looks like her face might melt if they put her too close to the lights on stage.

Fiorina was interviewed via video on the Today show last Sunday, and they bid her a Happy Mother's Day, which she grimly ignored and didn't acknowledge, (probably b/c she is barren). "It [pregnancy] wasn't in God's plan" per her wiki page...or most likely she was more frigid than a vat of liquid nitrogen.

If that's true, I'd say the odds of having our first female president from this field are pretty low.

I don't get the point of your post here? My opinion of her can't be wrong. And, IMO, she has some damn fine legs ...for a "Presidential candidate."

Elizabeth Dole, Michelle Bachman and now Carly Fiorina are three women who come to mind as far as seeking the Republican nomination for president.

Anyone else?

There are like 15-16 "candidates" at this point, aren't there? LOL at our buckeye friend. I can't tell if he agrees with me and is pissed because I'm a MICHIGAN guy and FUCKING AWESOME or if he disagrees with my statement that Fiorina will make waves, be entertaining and fill that CEO of Public Company role for the GOP crew..

Dole is a career First Wife/Politician and Bachman is the Tea Party Nutjob ...Fiorina may be incompetent as a CEO, but she's got that Female Mitt Romney thing going for her!
