Castellanos??

with everyone sucking so bad at the plate....why the hell not. Delmon and BB havent laid off a first pitch since the season started. Baker blows. Peralta and Avila werent expected to have the seasons they did last year....and they arent.

Baker's gone

Even if you call him up I don't think he gets significant playing time, might as well just let him rest a bit before he goes off to play fall/winter ball.

I'd expect to see:

Below
Al Al
Bootcheck
Holiday
Worth
Raburn
Kelly
as the callups

I would be surprised if he is brought up,
we will know in less than 24 hours.

Why not call him up to play third base and DH Cabrera till he gets healthy. Can't be worse than Santiago

No, Castellanos is not ready. He still needs to develop, I dont even think he will be ready out of spring training next year. Garcia is more MLB ready than Castellanos is. No point in bringing him up this early.

I doubt it. They've already committed him to Arizona Fall League play which starts 10/9, so I don't see them bringing him here for a month...

"Tigers general manager Dave Dombrowski recently told a local media outlet that the club has made its decision as to whether Castellanos will join Detroit in September, but he declined to reveal the organization's decision."

Wanted to get a sneak peek at the kid...oh well.

I don't see the harm in bringing up yound prospects and letting the get a taste of the big leagues. Other teams do it. Oh well.

Second baseman Ian Kinsler has been scratched from the Texas Rangers' lineup and replaced by heralded prospect Jurickson Profar.

Kinsler developed stiffness in his lower back Sunday.

When he takes the field at Cleveland, the 19-year-old Profar will become the youngest active player, the first born in 1993 to play in the majors.

Profar hit .281 with 14 homers and 62 RBIs at Double-A Frisco. He homered in the Futures Game in July in Kansas City during All-Star week.

Profar is poised to become the third-youngest player in Rangers history behind pitchers David Clyde and Wilson Alvarez
