TINSEL, I'll keep this one short for ya! ;)

Seriously, WTF...

So CDC tells staff who worked on Duncan that they are going to be self-monitored. Sounds brilliant.

This results in a nurse flying on a commercial airliner while having a fever of 99.5.

But don't worry, the chances of anyone contracting Ebola from her are "low", despite the fact they previously said that once a person shows symptoms they are contagious.

The whole thing is bullshit.

Why Duncan wasn't IMMEDIETELY quarantined to Emory or NIH - where they're trained and equipped to handle this kind of thing - is incomprehensible and inexcusable.

Ebola patients have been brought in to the United States and treated at NIH and Emory; no health care worker at either facility ever contracted the virus treating a patient.

Before flying from Cleveland to Dallas on Monday, Vinson called the CDC to report an elevated temperature of 99.5 Fahrenheit. She informed the agency that she was getting on a plane, the official said, and she wasn't told not to board the aircraft...

Frieden said Vinson shouldn't have flown because she helped care for Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas, and because another health worker who cared for Duncan had already been diagnosed with the virus.

"The CDC guidance in this setting outlines the need for what is called controlled movement. That can include a charter plane, a car, but it does not include public transport," Frieden said. "We will from this moment forward ensure that no other individual who is being monitored for exposure undergoes travel in any way other than controlled movement."

Frieden is a clueless moron who should be immediately replaced by Maricopa County Sherriff Joe Arpayo. He would know what to do to contain the situation.

deputize Steven Seagal to drive a tank into her house while filming a reality TV show?

You need to have pathogen-proof suits, full face pieces, double gloves, no skin exposed, P100 resipirators, foot covers, decon in chlorine-diluted showers, disposal of all garments and of drain water ... it's a mess.
