CFB TV Ratings

Always feels good to earn a "better" bowl based off fan following and not the team on the field. Glory days!

I think the key is your use of "better" because that's all it is .....better TV slot for ratings. It's precisely why Sparty didn't get a BCS at large after losing to Wisky two yrs ago ...the game doesn't matter

I totally agree. We are going to a mediocre bowl no matter what. Yay.

But if Michigan were, say, Boston College ...it would be even mediocre-r.

Sort of surprised about the Texas ratings being where they are, but then again they sort of suck now and have a lot of bandwagon fans who are probably tuning in to A&M instead.

....and they're the most talented team in the country, when healthy!

yeah... that's a tough matchup; similar to South Carolina for us last year.

would be better to face an overrated SEC team than one that lost some close games and is ready for a battle. they're 8-4 with a much better SOS than us.

still, we almost beat SCar last year, and it was the same story going in.

conference-wide, depending on what happens to ohio-MSU, we could have a decent bowl record.

I expect Nebraska to continue to crap the bed (HOW did we lose that game???) but Minnesota and Iowa have improved all year, and Wisconsin's loss means they'll move down to a weaker bowl opponent. all the bad Big Ten teams are actually bowl ineligible... meaning no 6-6 teams that will squeak in and lose to a MAC opponent, this year.

Sunday night is freakin' Bowl announcement night, right?

here's how I rank similar things:

1. World Cup draw
2. Selection Sunday (NCAA BB)
3. VFW Post 7975 Fantasy Football draft night, hosted by Roger "Pappy" Grawbowski (USMC Retired)
4. the Republican National Convention
5. Bowl Announcement night

anything below #2 is not worth watching.

These selection shows are crap - pop on TV two seconds after the dragged out hour and there you go ....Bowls with teams 95% in line with experts "predictions"

I'm not necessarily talking about watching the show...just finding out where Michigan will play its bowl game.
