Good read, I really don't see Lawson going anywhere though. IMO, pre draft he was the second best corner we had. I also don't see TJ Jones going anywhere, because I see us carrying 5 receivers this year, and don't see 5 guys better than him on our roster. The Jace Billingsly hype train just took a big hit imo. Just my two cents

Good read, but like kdp, I don't see Lawson going anywhere. While we needed an upgrade in the secondary, it's not like Lawson was a bum. He played well, and would be a great backup CB.

I agree with you guys, I think Lawson is great. However, I went through what cap hits each guy has, and the tendency of teams with veterans like Lawson in the league. I hope they don't cut him, but that's just what my prediction is if I were to say today.

TJ Jones might be a casualty just because Detroit may sign someone before training camp ends and need a roster spot.

Lawson has a very low cap hit on the last year of his deal. He isn't going anywhere this season. Tabor and Hayden still have to beat him out. Lawson is a solid CB. Not a number 1 but a solid number 2. Tabor is the future now though with a four year deal upcoming.
