More I hear the more I like.

Chris Greenwood, CB, Albion College -- Players from a Division III program like obscure Albion College in Albion, Mich., have to be special to get noticed by NFL scouts, but prospects who can run and jump like Greenwood almost always get discovered at some point. Taking part in a pro day workout at the University of Michigan in March, Greenwood ripped off a 4.34 in his 40, then posted a vertical of 43 inches and a broad jump of 11'2''. At 6-1, 193, Greenwood also has NFL size for a cornerback, with long arms, well-honed press-coverage skills, and strong change of direction ability.
All he really lacks is pedigree, having attended three colleges, jumping from Northwood University in Michigan, to Eastern Michigan, to Albion in a relatively short span of time. Look for Greenwood's name to be called in the earlier rounds on Saturday, with some scouts likening his frame and game to Antonio Cromartie.

So he struggles with the names of all his kids?

Or do they mean he dodges contact against running backs?

Measurables are real strong. Like the size and length a lot. Guess we'll have to see if dude has any ball skills.

hes over 6 foot and runs under 4.4 that combo of size and speed is rare.

I think I threw a touchdown pass against him in flag football. It was one of his "pit stops"....

The more I read on this guy, the more I like this pick. This could really be the diamond in the rough.

Albion cornerback Chris Greenwood is the first MIAA player to be selected in the NFL Draft in 45 years.

Congrats.

I have no idea if he will be very good, but after watching his highlights, if he does get his hands on a ball he is going to score.

And Sammie Lee Hill only had 7 sacks in his career at Stillman playing against weak competition.

Greenwood had 7 INTs in his first 6 games and then they avoided his side of the field. His stats and highlights look weak, because opponents wanted nothing to do with him, or even to see him.

It sure beats the 5'11" guys who run 4.62 with a 28 vertical leap.

what i love is how he will be able to compete against our WRs in practice. can he keep CJ from getting a jump ball? does he have the quicks to contain TY? our WRs will find out whether or not he has skills enough to develop and as he progresses against our elite WRs, he could become a solid #2 and in a couple years a #1. lions are the ideal team for this kid to have landed with if he really does have a high ceiling. if not, he'll be exposed early enough that they won't waste much time on him, but with his stats i like his potential. if he has skills to start within 2 years, it makes the move to get a solid #4 WR in R2 seem to be smarter than fans were giving credit (though I would still have liked Konz as getting a solid starting C is harder than a #2+ WR).

He's my favorite pick of our draft. Has all the physical tools to be a very good corner. Only time will tell though.
