Based on the article, I'm thinking the god of drinking way to much, tootin' your mind out on blow, and the circumvention one's natural brain chemistry that has to do with consciense and morality via depictions of violence and carnage through the prism of point garnering video games for such actions.

My top three guesses would be Bacchus, Mars, and Thor.

Or some combination thereof.
