CHW sign Austin Jackson

Actually, I would have Jackson at least 2-3 wins better than Maybin, maybe more.

really? Looking at their recent offensive stats they look pretty similar...but I didn't delve into it very deep. I don't know much about Maybin's defense other than it being average at best. I remember AJ's defense seemed on a sharp decline towards the end of his days as a Tiger.

A. Jackson 65.9 Runs (27th of 38)

R. Davis 63.6 Runs (28th of 38)

A. Gose 54.6 Runs (33rd of 38)

C. Maybin 48.3 Runs (36th of 38)

The player in between A. Gose and C. Maybin in Runs is Melvin Upton, and he actually is average on defense.

The difference in runs from Austin Jackson and Cameron Maybin is 17.6 runs. Conservatively, that equates to 2 wins over the course of a full season. Even in a reserve role, that is probably 1-2 wins.

good stuff as usual. Now I hate that trade even more!

Yeah the Maybin deal was just awful.. Maybe AA team were the main people scouting him back in the day but i just cannot figure this deal out it is so bad...

Have to agree the Maybin deal sucked from the onset. Jackson was pretty brutal in Seattle but I still remember him being fairly good while he was here..
