College Football is a fucking joke...

It does feel wrong to have Alabama make it in. They didn't win their conference. Seems like agenda here. Another SEC national champ. Pisses me off.

BestIsBest[/color]]Just imagine if Alabama beats LSU.

All the LSU fans will be screaming its unfair because they already beat Bama' once this year..
LSU did get fucked in some sense..

Houston losing lost their little shitty conference $15 mil lol now that sucks. Especially when its the first question some chick asked the So Miss coach before he could even leave the field. "Sooo you just cost the conference $15 mil...how do you feel?" lol

Word is is that if Ok St. went to NC. It would have been Alabama/Michigan for sure. The Sugar wanted their SEC team, but had to choose between KSU, BSU, VT and some others. Sugar already had UM slotted, even though, UM was not guaranteed a BCS at large.
Man, people are really down on the VT pick. I hope this doesn't jinx the outcome.

The difference between now and 2006, even though UM lost a close one against Ohio*, they lost at the end of the season. When Alabama lost to LSU they went to 3 but had time to get back in. Its sucked but that was the difference. Always better to lose early than late.

So here is my conundrum. I feel like LSU and 'Bama are probably the two best teams in the country which means in this case the BCS did what it was supposed to do. On the other hand, I don't really want to watch that game again. I am one of those that believes you should be able to win your conference if you want to win the national title.

Plus if Alabama wins a 3 point game anyone close to LSU will argue they still deserve the title because they won an earlier game.

Bottom line for me....LSU and Alabama are the 2 best teams in the country. And that's what I want to see in a NC game...the 2 best teams play. I don't care at all about conference championships, divisions, etc. This is the current shitty system we live in.

The only way it will change is if the entire country pretty much boycotted college football next year. Stop going to games until they come up with a playoff format. It won't happen but that's how you do it.
That's only perception that those are the best 2 teams in the country.. NO one will ever know how Ok State would fare against those two teams now.. Everyone thought Texas would get smoked by USC in 2006 as well..

Not everyone. I figured Texas would win, because of VY. I was right.

I will not be watching this game. Michigan's bowl game is the only game left that I care about at all.

I'l watch what I can. I probably have to work until 10pm that day, but will watch the end.

I think there are a few more elements that come into play with all of this.

1. In '06...they brought in Florida out of the SEC. The fact they smoked OSU validated their decision.
2. The B12 has been self-destructing with teams leaving.
3. Everyone remembers when Oklahoma LOST their conference title game but was still in the NC only to lose badly in that game. The B12 does not exactly inspire confidence in providing a quality team.

I'm sure there are others as well.
