Congress Needs some Balls

Does this confuse anyone else "If we had had confidence that the President clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so," Mueller said. "We did not, however, make a determination as to whether the President did commit a crime."

obstruction by tweet storms but a sitting pres can't be charged while in office. too bad he just didn't smash up his smartphones with sledgehammers instead of tweeting he would have been fine then. Bob says if you want to impeach him, impeach him! in his best Denny Green voice, I hope they do.

No, it's only confusing when you only use a snippet of the quote.

We did not, however, make a determination as to whether the president did commit a crime. The introduction to the volume two of our report explains that decision. It explains that under long-standing department policy, a president cannot be charged with a federal crime while he is in office. That is unconstitutional. Even if the charge is kept under seal and hidden from public view, that, too, is prohibited.

In its entirety, it's s very easy to understand in my opinion.

Fair enough but why say it at all. In any event, and I didn't read the report or even paid much attention to it but Presidents, and others in congress over the years have done things and no one ever gets in trouble it seems. It's seems what needs to happen is worry more about future Russian cyber attacks. Fix that. In my opinion that should be more important.

I ...

uh...

oooo... your grammatical mistakes are so bad, they make my head hurt.

Consensus seems to be Mueller is sending a message to congress that he's done, and they need to act now.

He?s done; I don?t think the message is that they need to act - just the ball is in their court if they want to.

If Pelosi remains as adamantly against it as she?s been, it would seem unlikely impeachment would get any traction.

I agree with my pal tiger mud - right now Trump is looking vulnerable for 2020.

It would seem impossible for the Dems to nominate any candidate as bad as HRC was.

meh, they could nominate Bernie, or Warren, or Booker, or Harris - maybe they're not AS bad as HRC but I think they're close enough that Trump would have a real shot.

I agree with all this, except the DNC seems hell bent on nominating Joe Biden, and he will be as bad as Hillary Clinton, and probably lose to Trump as well.

I think the rest of the field would beat Trump once they make it through the Democratic primary.

I don?t think Biden is viewed as generally unlikable as Hillary Clinton was.

You have to be crazy to want be president. I rather be a one legged pole vaulter,

My biggest takeaway from all Mueller's findings was how big of a problem it seems to be. It's not a theory or debate any longer. It may have been a positive for the GOP this time but next time it could easily be reversed. I don't want to see that happen.

Idgaf about impeachment and all that other shit. They needed a smoking, flaming, talking gun for the Senate (McConnell) to run Trump out. Mueller didn't find it (most likely because it doesn't exist). Move on to the things we KNOW are a problem. Let the voters decide in 2020. Even if that means four more years of Trump, let it burn if it needs to.

Mueller's a wreck. What he said, which is what you quoted above, is exactly equal to "If we had confidence the President committed a crime, we would have said so." It's just a fucked up way of saying it.

In any case, I say bring on impeachment.

It's easy to bring on that impeachment word but impeachment is never a good idea. Maybe there's proof enough for that just not seeing it.

Impeachment increases the likelihood of re-election substantially.

The election is less than a year and a half away.

I?m sure I?ve said it before-even today-but again-the Democrats could not shoot themselves in the foot more than to impeach Trump.

LOL, This.

Can you imagine if Obama had demanded a Navy ship cover her name because it offended him and sent all the sailors home because they wore hats with their ship's name on it? What kind of nonsense would these shit-sucking fuckheads be screaming about then? Treason?

There?s no one on this board who has expressed as much loathing and disgust toward Trump over this than me.
