man, i remember when hoke was hired. Ohio and sparty fans laughed at him, calling him fat, a third choice, and said he'd be gone in 3 years. One facebook friend (sparty) said that there was absolutely no chance that he could turn around the defense or even improve it slightly, even after we hired mattison.
10-2 with a defense that is probably third or fourth best in the B1G and an offense that steadily got better as the season went on. Definitely deserves it.
IMO it's between snyder and hoke. We shall see.

No one, not even UM fans thought this would happen. I had mixed reservations. I thought Miles or Harbaugh were obviously the best choice BUT, Hoke had turned around 2 other programs. Not as fast as here though. I think Mattison can be attributed to that.

I honestly think that Miles will win Coach of the year, I feel like it will be a lot like the heisman the best player (coach) that plays for one of the teams in the NCG. Miles is the only undefeated coach in college football right now.
On a side note I loved it when I saw MSU/OSU fans saying that Hoke should win it because this was expected this year. On what planet was Michigan projected for a 10-2 season and a BCS bowl game at the beginning of the season? I think most "experts" and UM fans thought that 8-4 would be the best UM would do this season
