Crazy Trade Idea Thread

Back to the original topic.

Giancarlo Stanton for Turner, Rondon and Boesch.

If you are going to do a trade with Miami you have to include Infante. Maybe they want to dump one of their high payroll pitchers.

Stanton, Infante & Sanchez for Turner, Rondon, Boesch & Porcello.

Jose Reyes was the best player in the game from most of a year too.

I don't htink they'd trade Stanton alone for those players.

Why not? Did you see what we traded for to get Miggy?

Fair enough...lol

That was the Florida Marlins though! These are the Miami Marlins...they have fish tanks in their stadium and psychadelic colors. You'd have to at least give up Ramon Santiago to get Stanton and I'm not sure thats a price I'm willing to pay.

If the Tigers take one of their high dollar pitchers it could sweeten the deal for Miami.

No, gotta keep Ramon. His .240 is too valuable.

But seriously, I'd trade Turner, Crosby, Oliver, Rondon, Porcello and a shit load of other guys (not Nick) to get Stanton. A 22 year old NL stud...easy trade.

You'd have to include Castellanos to get Stanton, and I'd include him without hesitating.

But not him and Turner both. Stanton is no Miggy. I have no faith in Turner being BL material but its not what I think. I just don't see Stanton getting that much from DD.

And Trout is also being mentioned as a possible MVP. All I was saying (coming from a management point of view) I would trade Miggy for Trout leaving me $20M a year to add another superstar.

There ya go then. Both players being mentioned in MVP voting so far. BOTH having tremendous years, so saying Trout is having a better year makes no sense, right?

Stanton is worth both Castellanos and Turner.

That wouldn't get it done, other teams would offer better packages than that.

Other packages are all relative. Like I said, nothing to do what I think but I don't think DD offers both.

See a lot of Trout talk on here. Fact is, Trout has the most trade value in the game right now, maybe him and Bryce Harper. Those two would command more in a trade than Miggy. And yes if the Tigers and Angels were talking trade and Miggy for Trout came up, it would be the Angels that hang up. Miggy is a superstar but he's also making 20 mil a season, Trout is a superstar with 6 years of team control and plays a premium position.

Someone that understands the business side of baseball.

And guess what you're both wrong. No one gives up more for 1 good year over hof player still in his 20's.
