Crispy Creme in trouble because of bridge closing

The scandal is much ado about nothing... though I suppose if I had to sit in a 4 hour traffic jam because our governor wanted to punish a small town mayor who didn't endorse him because he's a member of the other party... or if I was related to the old lady who died after her ambulance was purportedly stuck in the jam... I might be more ticked off.

but still... pretty stupid move on his part. inconveniencing thousands of voters because a guy didn't endorse me (in an election I won in a near landslide anyway) is a crappy thing to do. and to the idiotic pundits who are constantly calling for more "bi-partisanship" this is an unforgivable sin.

and while the emails between his aides & the Port Authority are probably no more scandalous than politics as usual, they certainly don't look good when aired to the public.

on Letterman, they said "this isn't the first time Christie has caused traffic problems in New Jersey" and then they showed a clip of a long traffic jam caused by a backup at an Arby's drive thru.

heh.

Krispy Kreme is like Chick-fil-a: if it's generally unavailable to you, it seems like a much better thing than if it's always an option. True of a lot of things, but I really noticed it with these 2 companies.

yeah I don't understand the hype either get. I've never eaten at Chick-fil-a, but... it's freaking fast-food-chicken. It can't be anything special. I've never heard McDonald's or Taco Bell get the same kind of hype, and a lot more people eat at those restaurants.

anyways, they're calling Christie "Nixonian" over this. it's kinda funny watching the national media get all worked up about this bridge closing, when it has a much lower body count than, say, the 2003 Invasion of Iraq... which they didn't even get that upset over, or call for an investigation. some sins are unforgivable, I guess.

I heard how great Chick-fil-a was from my sister. I moved to Arizona, tried it - and thought it sucked. Save with those donuts, my friend raves about them. Horrible. You can get better donuts from Krogers. The best.

Oh man . . . Chick-fil-a is the bomb. That fast food chicken sandwich is the best one out there. It is one of the few things that I have enjoyed about moving to Atlanta.

I guess you either hate it or love it. In my opinion, it beats nearly all of them even KFC.

Honestly KFC isn't the same as it was I was younger. Rather eat a chicken sandwich at Chili's. Maybe it was the sandwich but the one I had sucked.

no fast food chicken beats popeye's spicy strips. the only problem is finding them, most locations dont fucking carry them.

and yeah, krispy kremes are disgusting.

I don't hate it. Back when they were the only fast food place with a chicken sandwich I could see why people loved it. Now, if I go there, it's because of the lemonade and waffle fries.

I probably eat Chick-fil-a about 3 times a year. KFC 8. Bojangles 5.

Krispy Kreme 2. Dunkin' Donunts 10.

Food trucks...~50.

Gourmet food trucks, or cold sandwich and chips food trucks?

Not a fan of "spicy", but the people around here are more rabid about Popeye's everything - more than even Waffle House. :*)

sounds like people in the south have the same bad taste and disgusting dietary habits that we thought they did.

Great stereotype - just like most Chicago professionals are elitist arrogant atheists, right?

I always sit back and enjoy when people argue about the best fast food places. I remember the hamburger thread from a few years back when people argued which was better, 5 guys, whataburger, carls jr, in-and-out, etc.

It's like arguing which organ is better to get stabbed in by a rusty knife. (spleen btw)

I haven't eaten at any of those places, not sure they're in Michigan. Never seen them.

I know 5 guys, in-and-out is here in Arizona. I'm a once every two months fast food guy but are those joints any good?

Mmmmmm. I love burgers. Too bad I can't enjoy 'em when I'm thinking about sad cows. Curse you Chipotle!!!

I don't feel bad with the food trucks. I go on the local farm tours. I've seen the happy cows.

Nothing against burgers here...just fast food burgers. Which IMO hardly qualify for the title hamburger.
