Wow, Muskegon up 42-0 over Byron Center @ the half

I didn't go. We had already lost to them 49-14 in week four and figured if we could keep under 30 it would be good. I did find it on a online steam 106fm and BC was driving to big reds 30 then fumbled on games first possession. Then 4 Turmovers and a punt later it was 35-0 ..62-7 final. Big Reds play Edwardsburg next week who won a wild one 42-40 at Chelsea. Cass tech had a nail biter 43-42 at Saline. Damn freaking Orchard Lake St Mary's came back at DeWitt and won 35-28.Some great games tonight just not in Muskegon. I lost a few more of my predicted finals teams .Allen Park lost by 7 ..Is your local team still alive?

I'm in Muskegon. Mona Shores district.

Big reds are always good. That concret stadium at Hackley is so strange with stands all in one side. Mona Shores at 5-4 probably would have won a playoff game if they had made the playoffs but just didn't have enough playoff points. The Resse-Puffer (4-5)loss was the killer 39-34..
I use to live in North Muskegon on mills street three or four blocks from the high school from 1st to 4th grade. Great memories of that time with the beach so close and Bear lake so close. I also had a a number of hospital stays at Hackley lol. My snapped femur being the worst thing ever. 7 weeks in traction in the hospital. 7 weeks in a body cast at home. 3 weeks to walk again. Had to do 4th grade again.. That ended up being in Rockford after dad was transferred to GR. I do remember the lions 5-0 playoff loss in that damn body cast. Lol..that 1970 Lions season is still so fresh in my memory. Starting 5-1. Them being 5-4 then winning five in a row to make the playoffs at 10-4.. being down 14-0 to the Raiders and Oakland laughimg at us and coming back and winning 28-14. Broken leg and face besides North Muskegon had great places to hunt for turtles and frogs as a kid..

Yeah, I went to Reeths-Puffer and live in the Shores district now. My best friend growing up lived by Mills on Oakmere. I also spent a ton of time jumping into Bear lake after turtles, frogs and snakes.

Out of curiosity, is that pregame jump up and down on the logo at the middle of the field a usual thing for Byron Center? My facebook feed is filled with Muskegon fans pissed off about BC doing it yesterday before the game.

They normally just go to thier side of the field and jump on each other. I have never seen them do it on the road in the middle of the field. How freaking stupid.

Edwardsburg (12-0) 97.778 vs Muskegon (11-1) 98.556

The Eddies points for and against are 513/98 and they have 5 shutouts including 4 in a row to end regular season. Just beat a D3 runner up Chelsea last week 42-40 at Chelsea. But they have to get through Muskegon Big Reds points for and against 643/143 and 2 shutouts. Had no problem twice with Ok green Champion Byron center last week 62-7 and 49-14 in regular season. BC's only 2 losses. i really feel the Big reds play much tougher teams but that Chelsea score does mean something. Big Reds move on. Some say they are the best team in all divisions in the state.

Dearborn Divine Child (10-2) 72.794 vs. Orchard Lake St Mary's (8-4) 67.000.

Dearborn Divine Child points for and against are at 356/154 with 3 shutouts verses power house OLSM who is at 320/187. Per normal OLSM lost a bunch of games (4) in regular season to some really tough and bigger teams, and they are defending 2 time state champions, and I think 5-6 in title games since 1999. Dearborn lost to Divisions 7 Detroit Loyola 34-24. OLSM beat them 35-14. this is the furthest Dearborn has gotten since 1985.. OLSM moves on..
