Mike Babcock said the Wings probably don't make the playoffs if they don't sign him.. Pretty high praise for a kid just out of college.. He sure has helped the defense along with the other guys on d... Kindal has really improved this year..

I think Babcock may be overstating his importance a little bit here, but he was a very important signing and looks like he will develop into a good defenseman. I think you are right about Kindl without him steadying his game this season could have been lost early.

I mean every time i watched a wing game last year Kindal was making a mistake...I am excited...I hope they can win a round or two.. Do they have enough to win it all.. Heck the # 8 seed LA did last year why not us!!!!!!

Kindl was one of their best players all year. And to think people wanted to ditch him just because he made "mistakes". Just about the worst reason to give up on someone, mistakes are correctable, a lack of talent is not.

DeKeyser has got loads of ability as well. Defensive core looks very very solid. If only they could get some wingers....

Dekeyser added that extra stable D man. We just didnt have 6 quality guys. Kindl has played well, Ericcson is coming into his own, Dekeyser has been very good, Kronwall really stepped up this year to lead that D down the stretch the rest all have been consistently good.Well Quincey is hit or miss
