That's a lot for a kid his age but that's not a lot if he ends up never making the league and has to work for a living without a degree.

It does actually look like he will still be getting paid off his original contract. I did not think that was the case. NBA players who are sent to the D-League and stay on the NBA teams inactive list continue to get paid their NBA salary.
We all knew that when he declared. I still think its a case where he made up his mind early in the process he was going no matter what.
Either way, Morris was not ready for the NBA. Plain and simple.
