D-1 Football semifinals Chippewa Valley is d1 defending champ.

Notes can Davison against SHS is a (1694) school versus a (2498) school. Can
Bellville get past the semifinals against Brighton in this interesting four team semifinal.
Bellville also have 1692 kids. I do believe both them and Davison are on the low side in enrollment in d1. Brighton (2224).

AT Howell Saturday November 23rd 1:00 pm,
Brighton (10-2) 84.222 at Belleville (12-0) 113.778.

If ticker is right .
Brighton 22 Belleville 19 Final.

At Troy Athens Saturday November 23rd 1:00 Pm.
Sterling Heights Stevenson (8-4) 67.556 at Davison (10-2) 87.444.

If Ticker is right.

Davison 34 SHS 27 Final ot.

Alma mater Brighton, class of '83. Go Bulldogs.

I really dont know much about them but I would have made them slight underdogs to EK and Hudsonville even with a better record. I guess I need to stop discounting the conference Brighton plays in. Indeed Go Bulldogs. Pretty sure they are bigger underdogs this weekend.

It's been a long time but I can't remember the last time Brighton got this far. KVC is the conference. Kensington Valley Conference, unless they changed it.

Btw, last regular season game in 2018 they lost to Belleville 32-17.

2005 Brighton lost to Rockford in the semifinals 42-35. Rockford went on to win it all that season. Rockford made three finals in a row 2004-06 winning the first two. Then they won again in 2008. Brighton unless I missed something has only gone this far Two times.

Brighton since 1950.
335-309-7.

Belleville since 1950
299-343-7
Also have only been to semifinals 2 times since 1950..
(Last year and this year).

Thanks Bob. You seem to know more about my alma mater than I do. LOL.

No issues. Your welcome I love looking at these numbers . I like Historical numbers and look at them a lot that is the only reason I know a lot about high school football. I always forget just how big of a school Brighton is. (2224).

I hope I can find the stream of this game on NFSH tv. The Tigers are 3-0 all time verses Brighton.
2018...40-35. First game of the season
2018...32-17. Last game of the season.
2017...34-31.

I get it . It was game between the Klaa East verses west. Pretty sure the teams with the best records in the Klaa East verses klaa west play easy other at the end of the season.

It's a bit bigger than it was back in 1983 if I remember correctly. It seems like our cl
ass was the senior class a bit over 500 and I think the other classes were bit smaller.

Brighton (11-2) vs Davison (11-2).

Pick-em.

I may revise all my picks when i look later.

Should be a great matchup. Davison is one of the smaller d1 teams based on enrollment but they play big. They were down 27-12 mid 3rd quarter verses Sterling Heights Stevenson who at 8-4 have beaten Detroit cass tech, and Macomb Datoka to get to the semifinals. Anyway Davison forced ot and ended up winning it 34-27. Brighton was a underdog verses Belleville and won 22-19. Great win . Should be a fun d1 final.

Seems that Belleview is loaded with major D1 players every year and never get it done. Do they just have a horrible coach?

I am not sure about Belleview. They did have a big lead (27-12) mid third and Davison I just watched some of the (main plays) on replay on NFHS (10 bucks a month). Not as amazing as the Maple City Glen Lake Miracle over Montague. I fast forward Davison game to the main plays as best i could so i do not know if Davison just out coached them in. Montague on the other hand was up 24-10 with 6+ left in the 4th and I still can't believe they lost that game.

I buy NFhs when basketball and football playoffs are on then I cancel it. Only thing i don't like is they do not let you stream on 2 different devices for some reason as i like to watch multiple games but you can't :(

(11-2) Davison (1694) is one of the smaller d1 schools playing up (11-2) Brighton (2224). Both are making their first appearance in the finals. Since 1950 Brighton is 336-307-9 while Davison is 380-271-14. This season Brighton points for and against 407/186 with 2 shutouts, and 4 games where they held teams to 7 points. Davison points for and against this year is 553/183, and they have 4 shutouts And one other game under ten points. Both teams play good schedules and both have had tough playoff runs.

Dang this is a tough one as both public schools are going for title number 1. Slight lean to the Bulldogs.
Pick-em game .

Are these game played at Ford Field? I watched a lot more when they were held in Pontiac.

Public (2224) Brighton (11-2) vs (1694) Public Davison (11-2).

11-2 Brighton is 336-307-9 since 1950. This year they are scoring 407 and giving up only 186 on defense. They have 2 shutouts and have held 4 other teams under 10 points. This is the first title game they have been in.

The smaller Davison is also 11-2 and is 380-271-14 since 1950. This year they have 4 shutouts and have held 1 other team under 10. They have also never made the finals
but have made 5 playoffs in a row.

Pretty sure Brighton plays a lot bigger schools then the cardinals . Just a few.
Go Bulldogs !!

Pick-em.

Davison was huge. I was amazed how big some of their guys were.
