The fact that the interference penalty at the end was on Chara...and for such a douche reason...made it all the better.

I love that Nyquist is already starting the season strong. We needed a goal scorer in a big way the last few years, and Nyquist could be and elite one. Helm back and healthy is huge as well.

Here's hoping Datsyuk comes back soon and the team can stay healthy.

Watched most of the game. I know Boston played the night before, but the Wings won most of the puck battles and clearly dominated in the team speed department. I'm optimistic.

I only saw the third period and I agree L. although late un the game we did commit a boneheaded penalty and lost a few puck battles late the third.. But by then Boston was pressing to try and tie the game so its ok.. Good win...
