Gibson didn't have a good game at all.

3rd game in over a year for him, glad the Wings got a rare W.

Does this mean the Red Wings just won another Stanley Cup?!!!

Wooooo hooooooo!!!!!

It’s really difficult to gauge the progress of a team with such a tight scheduling rotation compared to previous seasons. Can’t compare it to the rest of the league. I expect, as a hunch, that the Red Wings’ record would be even worse if they played the entire league.

Other teams might be worst as well. Regardless overall I think they have played better this season than the last two.

They playing better than last season.

Two years ago.... I'd argue no. Not by numbers and not in terms of entertainment.

This season most nights Larkin is invisible. Two years ago he was the engine of the team every game.

It shows even in his point totals.

Compared to two years ago, worse win %, worse record, worse PP, worse PK, worse GF, and 0.2 better in GAA.

I really hate to accept this stat as well. 2nd oldest team in the league this year behind Washington.

Coincidently, same average age as 2 seasons ago. I do believe hockey reference weights the average based on ice-time. Hopefully it's just the goalies which are weighting that number down but I don't want to check.
