Just seems inconsistent to me.

I typically watch the so-called "debates" of both parties, and I watched this one also.

On the plus side, Fiorina and Carson seem tolerable as candidates, at least compared to the rest of the Republican field.

It seemed like Jeb! would be tolerable at least, but apparently he's made the bizarre decision to stand on his brother's record as president, which is really baffling. I get that attacking his brother or his brother's record may not be ideal for him since their bazillion-square-foot cottages in Maine are both on the family compound, but certainly there's a more nuanced path he could take than he has...

I like this line in this article: "With the notably rare exception of the worst terrorist attack ever on American soil, George W. Bush kept us safe!"

I saw several clips of it, of course most of them were dominated by Trump being a giant douchebag.

And not that I ever did before, but I can no longer seriously consider Jeb as anything other than a muppet with a famous last name which he seems to have no problem invoking any time the heat is on. And of course the GOP crowd eats that shit with a spoon and cheers wildly any times he does.

As Grandy said; Fiorina and Carson seemed most likable, probably only because they handled the Llama-haired attention-monkey better than the others.

I forgot Kasich too, he basically explained why Cruz's threat to shut down the government over Planned Parenthood funding would accomplish nothing. But apparently having a realistic view like that doesn't go over well with some voters. These rah-rah pipedream proposals are something I particularly can't stand during debate season, whether it's building a border wall or reversing the gay marriage decision, it's all talk with no substance...just pandering.

I was a little surprised the Kasich didn't take the opportunity to point out that he too, is on public record as having been opposed to the war in Iraq.

After 17 years in the House of Representatives, Kasich chose not to seek reelection in 2000, and was functioning as a television editorial journalist in the days of the build up to the war.

aside from some of the stuff he's had to do to keep the "R" label and his Ohio State University eduction, Kasich seems like a decent human being. He seems to actually consider the plight of working people as well, meaning The Koch Bros, Heritage Foundation, Petroleum Institute, etc. do not like him or want to see him win.

Honestly, i hate this election. Hillary is blah. Bernie is out of touch with reality half the time. And Biden still hasn't decided. And the Republicans who lead the polls are either crazy, ignorant, or have no fucking clue about what's in the constitution. I'll vote Dem again this time, but that's only to prevent Republican control.

If these parties don't start moving toward the center soon, our country is in big trouble.

And on topic, I watched part of it. Kasich is clearly the most qualified. Fiorina did good, but still hasn't given anyone a reason to vote for her. Getting a jab in on trump is not a good qualification.This isn't high school prom king/queen election, but it seems to be turning into that.

IMO if Kasich or Jeb! win, I don't think it will be too bad but the rest scare the piss out of me.

I didn't watch it, too busy, my sources felt trump should tone back the insults but polls still suggesting he's on top. Jeb losing support which is good IMO..Carson bumbled and mumbled..I can't stand cristie, Carly may be gaining steam...all in all..I can't stand cristie..for the love of gawd no more bushes and clintons please...speaking of clintons how come the dems haven't had any debates yet? Meh, Don't answer, that's already known why, right shillary? and ya know...trump doesn't scare the shit out of me anymore than the current pres already does
