One thing I don't like about Kennedy is that he goes for the head every time. At least Grienke went a bit lower. Twice Kennedy went to the head.

I wanted to see McGuire and Williams go at it. That would have been fun.

No need for Kennedy to even throw at Grienke. They were quits after Grienke plunked Montero. That Grienke went hard into second did not warrant Kennedy's head shot are (ironically) at Grienke.

Maybe it's time to apply the hockey rule: leave the bench area and you are ejected automatically. If a pitcher hits three batters, or two in one inning, intentionally of not, he's done. If a pitcher hits a batter in the head, intentionally or not, he's gone, too, just the way that a high stick, intentional or not, is a penalty. Let the rules and not the umpires decide who is ejected. And never does an umpiring crew look more impotent than when the benches clear or when they warn the benches. That's like declaring "it's on now."

Grienke's takeout slide was clean and legit. Would have been a non-issue before the brawl.

And I agree with Byco it should have been over after Montero took the retaliation hit, but we know what a hothead Gibson is.

I wouldn't have fined Greinke, but I realize they have to. Kennedy should have gotten 20. That was bush.

They should get starts not days. 10 days is 1 start and pushed back a day on the other. Not much at all. They should have given him 5 starts or 30 days.

If the pitcher deliberately throws at a batters head after all that went on in this game and the past history, make it a month....
