Eh, you can grill SVG about a lot, but not about Giannis. Multiple teams passed up on him after the Pistons picked. No one had any idea how good he'd turn out.
Things don't work in a vacuum like this. If they would have drafted Booker, then they would be picking in a completely different spot in the future because the team would have been different, so the whole Mitchell vs Kennard debate wouldn't exist.
But if they are in a vacuum for the sake of this argument, the Mitchell one was bad. He brought the kid in, he passed all the workouts, and they told him he'd be the pick. That one left me scratching my head.
