yes, the same "civilized" world that CAUSED this refugee crisis in the first place by destabilizing national governments (particularly Syria), then get collective amnesia when it comes to doing something about the millions of people fleeing the resulting civil war.

the same "civilized" world so ready to see any fellow humans it doesn't like as "others" and advocate extreme violence and repression against them.

it shouldn't need to be said, but it is (for the same reasons as above) but this is not to defend the horrific truck attack in Berlin, but attacks like this really need to be put in context, because they are never going to stop until the "civilized" world takes a serious look at its policies, and stops meddling in the domestic affairs of Middle Eastern countries.

To make sure I understand your position, let's review:

1. I'm a fucking scumbag for thinking governments and political leaders should be in control of their borders and that their number one obligation is to actual citizens.

2. Merkel is a great humanitarian because she allowed the entry of hundreds of thousands of refugees and to date, only twelve of her citizens have been murdered. If, in fact, the number is limited to twelve. And let's not even talk about rapes and sexual assaults.
