Draft pick countdown

I can't imagine Detroit wining another game and the only way Detroit moves up is if Oakland beats SD. No way Philly winning again and the other two teams aren't winning twice.

Top 5!!

God bless these fn trainwrecks!! Still love ya, Lions!!!!!!!

What do top 5 in draft project to make this year? Can't wait to have top 5 talent at rookie cap pay!!!

worse pick will be 9th IF we somehow beat Chicago and all 5 win teams(thru week 16) lose
best pick(realistically) will be 4th if we lose and Oakland beats SD, 5th otherwise.

Yes, Tampa took gruden with 2 first and 2 second round picks plus 8 mil in cash.

If we can keep Chicago out of the playoffs it'd be worth moving down in the draft.

4yrs-$18 Mill, approx for #5 pick

This is a god send for team's like the Lions. Getting a high pick used to not actually help most teams. The contracts weren't worth it and the bad teams stayed bad because they were locked into huge contracts for unproven players while the good teams had more cap space because they were picking late 1st round.

OUr top picks all deserve their cash. Its the fact we dont develop the players that we draft in round 2-7 and turn them into players that actually contribute and the fact we dont do well in FA that this team is crap. Srsly have a team full of scrubs.

Do we have any hope of philly passing us in SOS? Maybe if a lot of the teams we played earlier in the year go out and lose, while Philly's teams win?

Hard to do well in fa when all money is tied up with existing contracts. When u have to restructure existing contracts to sign guys, it is a sign u r over-extended and need to work on restructuring the team, not an individual contract.

having 3 top paid guys doesnt handicap the rest of your team....alot of teams have that. Overpaying for guys that dont produce does....avril, KVB, CW.

nope, Lions will have played the hardest schedule this year. To date...11 out of 16 games against teams with a minimum of 9 wins
