They are a little scary when you look at their pitching staff

Bryan Augenstein is the only pitcher with significant time, and hasn't been moved up already, that looks like he is ready for a next step. The rest of the staff is painful. I know Reb doesn't like him (he does need to work on his strike zone a lot) but Moya did make the future All-Stars team because of his Eastern League Leading 22 Home Runs. Ramon Cabrera and my dark horse Jason Krizan are still hitting and progressing this season.

Erie should get Jake Thompson next year but the pitching pantry is bare.

Correction...Augenstein is in Toledo now. He's pretty old (28).

In the last 4 seasons (2011-2014), Moya has averaged 25.7 PA/BB. That is worse than Delmon Young. You or I would be hard pressed to name at least 10 offensive players that made a impact at the MLB level that had such a bad walk rate in the minors. History isn't on Moya's side. I try to remain objective and not subjective like some.

Like the beat writers who are projecting him to be in Detroit in 2015 or the Baseball institution who project him as a future major leaguer?

We share the same concerns on his walk rate and I think they are projecting too much from him also. My only point is that there is some buzz around him which gives him some trade value.

Moya aside though...

The Sea Wolve's pitching staff illustrates that Ray and Thompson are the only two starters on the farm with any hope of being plus starters at the MLB level. I only said "hope" for the record.
