This team gives us nothing but trouble, every freaking time. Normally, I would be pissed off that they could barely beat a subpar Northwestern team, but that's a game I will take, store it away, and call it a night.

Yep.....disaster averted. That would have been a "bad" loss to say the least...especially at home.

You know I am convinced after several U of M games and Lion games that all my fav teams are trying to kill me

I just don't understand why we don't trey and push the tempo and run,run run the wildcats out of the gym. That is what MSU and O$U do just about every time they play them and when we were at our best tonight we were running..

The 'experts' were talking about Baylor yesterday and they listed the NW game as a quality win for them. I laughed and then watched as Michigan struggled all game. Maybe NW is decent this season?

I really think NW is one of those teams that if you dont take them seriously they can and will beat you. They shoot 3's very well and are pesky on D

Northwestern's 3 Big Ten losses are to ohio, Illinois (who just beat ohio), and us, so I think so. Their other two losses were @ a ranked Creighton team, and a ranked Baylor team.

on paper, this may not look like a big win, but in practice, I think it was huge.

plus, it seems like we've struggled with this team under Beilein for years .
