The Cards aren't going to become even competitive this season or next, they are full of holes on O, (ranked dead last in NFL) and will need to make more than one trade and more than one draft to contend again in the NFCW. Their best wideout in Fitz is nearing the end of the road, and could be retired in two years. You posted that the Lions aren't a shoe [sic] in, but they aren't directly affected by what happens in the AFC, and besides that, there is no team in it who is running away with their division. The Chiefs traded one of their CBs in Peters last offseason with a 6th rounder for 2nd and 4th round picks. With the exception of the AFCW, every 3rd place team is within one or two games of their division leader. If they were to do that then they'd probably need to overpay this off season for Ansah's replacement since they won't be able to draft one in the 1st.

Young options could be Dante Fowler, Demarcus Lawerence, or Frank Clark.
