FA DHB visiting tomorrow

His rookie season, Titus seemed like he was getting behind the defense all the time. With DHB being even faster, I feel like it should work out very well in our system. Just get him some stickem or let him imagine the ball as a roll of toilet paper, if it worked for the black kid from little giants, then it's worth a try!

Damn coach! I look like I just jacked off an elephant!!!

sounds like mayhew purposely underbid him so he can fulfuill his lifelong dream of drafting a rd 2 wr every year.

Darrius Heyward-Bey - WR - Free Agent Free agent Darrius Heyward-Bey left his Lions visit without a contract, but hinted he'll soon decide between the Lions and Colts.
DHB visited the Colts on Tuesday. He isn't known to have scheduled any other trips. Heyward-Bey would be a situational deep threat for either team, but is a good fit for two of the league's most vertical offenses. Related: Lions, ColtsSource: Dave Birkett on Twitter Mar 27 - 4:01 PM

Sounds from all reports like the visit went well. He talked about how it was "very appealing" to consider his future with the Lions, and how exciting it would be to play with Stafford, Calvin, Reggie, etc...

From Rotoworld:

Free agent WR Darrius Heyward-Bey called the possibility of signing with the Lions "very appealing."

DHB left his meeting with the Lions on Wednesday without a contract, but it sounds like he's leaning towards accepting their offer over the Colts. Miscast as a full-time starter with the Raiders, Heyward-Bey will be a situational deep threat wherever he lands

Sounds pretty positive. Maybe we don't have to blow a pick on a WR this year, and can load up defensively and on the O-Line.

I know for fact I'd be thrilled with a draft of OT, DE, OG, C, and CB in no particular order. I can't see the Lions spending three picks on O-Line, but I'd sure be happy if they did.

Sounds like? Where do you get that from? :/

He left Detroit without a contract after he had already visited the only other team interested (Colts). If he really had liked the contract we offered him, he probably would've signed before leaving. I think there's still a decent chance we get him, but it sounds like Mayhew didn't give him a deal DHB couldn't refuse, which is fine by me. We shouldn't overpay for him.

no tony the lions should have got into a bidding war over a player that is garnering little to no interest on the free agent market lol..

It could also mean they talked about shit and no contract was even mentioned. But if I'm this guy, DHB, you know he wants money. Indy will most likely be better team but a guy with speed, no other player to be than the opposite of Calvin who takes half the defense with him.
