Failure

I don't care what others say but I'd be happy with gruden I think he could get these guys to play better

He's gone. Once they get beat by Minnesota this week, Black Monday will be in affect in Detroit.

Go get Gruden.

Lornet Prather ? Top Commenter No they are not, they are entertaining, like the Chicago Cubs. Name another NFL team to have been eliminated from the Playoffs twice by a 60FG.

There still isn't one yet & this is a prime example of why I avoided registering for a FB account. Wouldn't be able to resist correcting all of the idiots still posting on ESPN & with my RN? uhh...nope....don't think so.

If rex is fired him as dc

Is it only me that thinks Pat Narduzzi from MSU would be a really good fit at D coordinator? Runs an NFL style defense and has a scheme that would fit our personnel.

He's uber aggressive, too. Which I like.

I liked you idea, hire the whole MSU staff.

If it were me.....I'd hire Lovie Smith as Head Coach. Narduzzi as DC and Gruden or Shaw as OC.

Obviously, talking Gruden into an OC role might not work.....but hey, a guy can dream.

Rex as dc would b.nice with cowher

I would take Cowher, Gruden or even Rex Ryan..

I heard Lomas Brown in the radio last night and he sounded so hurt by the Lions this year.. I mean it as a fan... He wanted them to win so bad.. He thinks That the Lions should go get Jon Gruden... He really thinks he would put the lions over the top... We have to do something because CJ has only a few great years left...

Lomas "ole" Brown was upset?

go figure...

I was no big fan of the "wuss" Scott Mitchell, but to step aside and try to permit your starting QB to get hit hard or sacked kinda rubbed me the wrong way. But I will never forget the '97 WC playoff game vs @ the Bucs, when Scotty got hit & sacked behind the LOS and laid prone on the turf for several minutes before being carted off the gridiron. Not a single Lions teammate went over to see if he was "badly" hurt.

I suggested this, too, but as a HC. I doubt he'd go to the NFL to have the same title he has now. RIght now, his job is safe and he has a ton of job security. I doubt he'd go to a struggling franchise to be a coordinator.

I like narduzzi....but we have like 200 million tied up in 2 offensive players. We need a good offensive mind running this team.

Please NO Gruden! Do you really want to see the WCO here again? He only won a Super Bowl b/c he inherited a good team.

Listen look back at my posts since I was DrewMike99_____ on ESPN. I have a pretty good idea who will work and who will not work as coaches or GM

I was against Millen when he was hired, I was against all three M's getting hired as coach, and I am still against Mayhew as GM, but the jury is still out if I am right about him.

I'll tell you the perfect pick for coach: O'BRIEN

I really do not get all the hype over obrien. Not that a better candidate is currently available.

If Peyton wins the SB and retires on that legacy win, go get him immediately. If not, I'd be ok actually keeping Schwartz and company to snag him immediately on his retiring. Offer whatever it would cost, $50 million or more even. At least he could tell Staff how to play QB in the NFL.
