It feels like this is always a problem with Z. and D. towards the end of the season.. With there age and all the extra career playoff games they both wear down towards season end.

Yup no PD on the trip.

Now, they'll again have to do it without Datsyuk, who won't make the trip to Florida with what the team is calling a lower-body "ache." The center also won't play in Friday's game against Tampa Bay.

Seems like the Wings are going to pay a bit of a scheduling price by playing a couple more games than most teams at the end of the season here. Not sure which is worse, rust from not playing games close enough together or the wear and tear from playing too many games too close together.

Missed the game but would bet money the excuses are along the line of rusty, sluggish, low energy, etc. Always hard for teams to get back to full speed after such long time between games.
