Football fan attire over the decades

Of course, my day-to-day style is excellent. Michigan T-shirts and polo shirts, pretty much every day. When I went into an office every day, I had lots of yellow and blue polos that weren't specifically Michigan.

Also, don't wear a tie every day. It raises your intraoccular pressure which contributes to glaucoma over years.

Sometimes it's hard to turn down the "Buy One Suit, Get Two Free" at Jos A Bank, but the quality is a bit suspect and the salespeople are hilarious. I think every one of the Jos A Bank guys at the one close to our house is drunk, was drunk or is planning to get drunk ....they're all in their 50's and clearly habitual drinkers.

They're all sort of like Jack Lemmon in Glengarry, Glen Ross:

was thinking you could maybe chalk up some of the sloppiness of current people to modern HVAC & easier to wear fabrics and clothes... with elastic wastebands and socks, no need for girdles and garters to keep things in place. and you don't have to wear as much to stay warm, or select the right fabrics in the summer to stay cool... just crank the AC or the thermostat.

but a lot of it is still probably laziness, and stupidity.

Cowherd is a bit of a douche, in my opinion, but he had a take on how slobby Americans have become a year or two ago that was pretty funny.

He was making fun of the way people dress to fly and compared the days of dressing up for the treat of flying versus the people you see today -- in his words -- who show up in their pajamas and crocs and with their own pillow.

Something about being a step or two away from just wearing adult diapers and onesies....

one of the funniest bits Colbert has done involved mocking the snuggy. he offered a fleece bag you climb into. if you died in it, your loved ones could carry you in your bag and dump you on the curb. and he wouldn't force you to order it and pay $19.99... that was too much effort for today's lazy americans. he arranged for everyone to receive one, and he would automatically charge their credit cards.

but yea... the way they dressed themselves in idiocracy... a machine that dispenses t-shirts and sweat pants... not too far off for most people.

go somewhere you have to rub shoulders with the "other half"... it's kind of shocking just how lazy and dumb A LOT of people are.
