It seems like around this time every year we start to hear rumors of free agent targets for the Lions. I have not heard really anything yet. I wonder if that is Quinn running the organization like the Pats.

I have heard some anylists talk about good fits but nothing as far as targets.

Only rumbling I read on Twitter was Alex Mack was not going to resign with the Browns and the Lions would pursue him. Early rumor, probably no truth to it, but I would love that potential signing.

It's a glaring weakness. While they might not be all in, I can't believe they wouldn't be considering him at the very least.

While Mack is very good, I don't know if he is worth the $10 million price tag that comes along with him.

I guess the NFL actually cracked down on tampering. Last year at this time we already knew the exact details of the Suh contract. Have not really heard much about landing spots for FA's

no need to set the market early with the scrubs that are on the FA lists this year.

Would suck to be the Jags and have 83 million in cap space and not many options worth spending big money

Ya lol. Same every year though....Big money guys get overpaid out the gate. Theres just not many of those guys this year. Work some deals and get some bargain players in a couple weeks. I could only really imagine spending high $ on a couple positions this year...CB, DE and maybe a guy like Alex Mack along the oline.

Should be an interesting 24 hours with the changes to the tampering window rules. Teams can now openly exchange numbers, so it's basically free agency without the ability to actually sign on the dotted line.

As long as teams don't announce a deal they have agreed to in principal, it's anything goes.

I only heard WR Marvin Jones and S George Iloka(sp?) a possibility for Detroit.

Read we were on the phone with Iloka's agent first thing today when the window opened up. Love the idea of him playing with Quinn.

Also we reached out to Sweezy from Seattle. Looks like a decent replacement for Man Ram

@S I thought Abdul Kuddus deserved a resign....then draft a mid rd guy to develop cause Quin has maybe a couple more years left at most.

I think he played well but if we can get an upgrade and wont break the bank im good with that too.

Looks like Mike Wallace was released. Anyone think it is worth kicking the tires on him on a very incentive based contract?

He needs to be in an offense that has a QB with an arm and an offense that loves to throw. We definitely fit the criteria.

He also needs to be with a QB who is accurate with the long ball. 2 out of 3 ain't bad, ain't good either.

He is exactly what this offense needs. However, I don't think he'll want to be a #3 (if Jones signs) for anyone. He strikes me as a guy who still thinks he's a #1.

I can see him on a team like Tennessee, SD, Baltimore or San Francisco.

Wallace got a larger offer from the Vikes a few years back and chose to sign with the Dolphins because he didn't like the idea of playing in colder climates.

When he was traded to Minny, the writing was on the wall. He's a primadonna receiver who will tank the minute his diaper isn't changed and his baba isn't ready fast enough. He ended up where he didn't want to be, and his production showed his displeasure.

Last time I checked, it's not really warmer in Detroit. It wouldn't work out any better for us.

Let him go find a nice home in San Diego or Arizona where he can be a rock star again.

I agree. His skill set is EXACTLY what this offense needs, though. I'll be happy as long as they address the fact that without #81......we NEED a deep threat in this offense (NO, not Corey Fuller). Guys like Tate, Riddick and Jones (if signed) are great to have underneath......but if there isn't anyone to take the top off the defense it will be extremely hard for them to find a lot of room. Teams will squeeze the line on us with little need to keep defenders deep.

I apologize to all that disagree as I know it would not be popular......but I'd still draft Coleman in the 1st round.

Prince Amukamara is set to be an unrestricted FA today, I'd like to see that guy here.
