A couple things. Good piece but no mention of Kronwall is a gaff, and I do remember the two hottest teams meeting up in the second round of the playoffs. Losing that 3-1 series lead to the Blackhawks really hurt bad.

But losing that damn Cup to Pittsburgh really hurts still. Man the wings were good for such a long time.

4-2 in cups over that period is pretty good but with a few breaks it could have been like 8-3 or 6-3. Man so many good playoff teams were in Detroit.

Even if you go back to '96-97, how many other teams have 4 cup wins? Sure it could have been more but I'll take 4 wins anyday.

Yup Wings have the most if you go back to 1996-97. Sadly if we go back to 1990-91 We end up in 2nd.. we should be 5-1. Plus we had 4 in a 12 year span. That is pretty good. Sorry if I missed any.
