don't worry about it man, i personally like the dirtiness......(although wilbon is SUCH A FUCKING HOMER.....i sure wish he could hear us lions fans say fuck you too....)

let them think we're dirty...worked for the Raiders back in the Howie Long , Lyle Alzado days....

Yeah I'm cool with the dirty tag too, plus it could possibly give the lions an edge if the opposing qb thinks he's going to get his head ripped off.

im not usually one to say one team is dirty and another isnt. It usually takes 2 to tango. BUUUUUUUTTTTT at this point the negative media is getting irritating and its no ones fault but our own. Every week we get highlight real full of clips of how were doing something stupid on the field. This week was fairley, suh ripping cutlers head off, stafford starting fights cause he cant throw. The result was the worst loss in recent memory and you almost got CJ killed. If you wana play on the verge of being dirty then atleast be in the game. This week was pathedic and just showed an immature bunch of fools that got their asses handed to them and they couldnt handle it. The bears may end up with more fines than us this week....but we were the cause. I never felt any of the Suh plays in the past were being dirty (except the Preseason play last year when he body slammed the dude by the head).... they just a result of good hard football. Last week vs the bears had nothing to do with good hard football....just poor sportsmanship and a shitty team playing shitty football.

Yep and Schwartz obviously wants them to have that kinda throwback dirty rep, in the NFL, so I'm down with it.

Detroit has had a rich history of "dirty" players/teams from Cobb's sharpened spikes Tigers to Layne's black and blue Lions to the Rick Mahorn/Bill Laimbeer Bad Boys Pistons and the Bob Probert/Stu Grimson/Darren McCarty & Grind Line Red Wings.

So if this Lions team is going to be the next in line, I'm all for it, as long as it makes them become perennial contenders and being favored each season to clinch a postseason berth, and of course play mostly winning football.

I don't mind the dirty rep...but the big negative is that we will get flags thrown against us based on that reputation.

Only thing that bothers me is that there is no medium anymore. Either you're a superbowl favorite when you win, or you're the biggest playoff pretender when you lose. I don't give a shit about them calling us dirty, I just wish they would beat the shit out of good teams with this new-found "dirty label".

agreed. dirty and bad is dumb. dirty and badass like the ravens years ago....not dumb.

Dirty shmirty. Whatever. Let them call us dirty. Just is always unfortunate that we can't return the favor from last year and knock Cutler out for 8 games or so...

I thought the Fairley call was brutal. Fairley grabbed him simultanously as Cutler threw the ball, and it looked like Fairley was just driving him into the ground. But in todays football, that's a penalty, but a dumb one at that.

This team is dirty, deal with it, embrace it.

Exactly, this team is dirty and chippy so just go with it. They're always throwing shots after the whistle. It's not all that bad as long as they don't start trying to injure people by going after knees and things like that.

I think the Lions are earning that rep.

Good. Makes people talk about this fn team for once. Punch 'em in the mouth and kick 'em in the teeth. Get the fuck up for this team!!!

Hard nosed and tough is fine. Dirty will cost you some games though.

circle the wagons and figure a way to go 4-3 in your last seven games...
