Nice game Danny...just some bad luck there.

And the usual anemic run support by the offense.

Now Farmer is scuffling....HBP loads the bases.

He gone...NRam in w/2 outs, and a 2-2 tie game in bottom 7th.

Rally over on a fly to center.

RISP+WP+BH=Walkoff Luhoozers 3-2.

4th in a row and now 1 loss away from 40 games under .500 @ 30-69.

Orioles won and now are 33-69.

Oh my bad , its past 12 so didn't see the game thread here , if we can call it that . Joke , fire gardy
. Mods can delete my other thread

not going to fire gardy no run support again this is what you get when you do not develop your farm system.

2006 Tigers high-water mark for the season, was 40 games over .500 @76-36 on August 7, nearly 13 years ago.

Certainly being 40 games under .500 WON'T be this team's low-water mark...75 or more?

2003 Tigers low-water mark for the season was 80 games under .500 @ 38-118 on Sept 22.

2003 Tigers won more games in the months of May (11 vs 9) and likely July (6 vs 3 so far), as the Tigers would need to go 3-2 or 4-1 for the rest of the month vs @SEA and @LAA, to tie or win just 1 more.

2019 Tigers have won more games in March (2 vs 0 but played in 4 vs 1) April (11 vs 3) June was tied @ 5 wins each.

2003 Tigers won 6 games in August and 9 games in September. I have MUCH faith in this team faring WORSE than that. So that large discrepancy in the month of April btw the two teams s/b negated.

Seattle 3 - Detroit 2: Norris sharp in tough loss.
Why times through the order is more important than pitch counts.

It is Christmas in July! (Well, it is the 27th so technically a couple days after?.) Given this, what?s on your wish list as the gift you most want to receive? Let?s not get greedy ? you can only ask for one thing.

Given the current state of the Tigers, what do you most want to see happen that will give you hope about this team?s rebuild?

Top draft pick selections.

Multiple top prospects from other teams in trades.

Multiple AAA players called up this year.

Outstanding performances of top minor league players.

Purging of older journeymen who will be replaced by rookies.

New coaches.

A new GM.

Revamped Front Office executive personnel.

Growth of analytics department and equipment.

A new owner.

Vote.

so it looks like Gardy left Norris in to start the 7th and he gave up a 2 run homer. That should make some people happy...leaving a starter in so he can get over 100 pitches ;)

That article on miggy is alarming to me holy balls here?s a thought..surgery or retire bro nobody wants to see you hit for shit like this

Gardenhire said he has spent a lot of time with hitting coach Lloyd McClendon trying to change his mechanics.

Good freakin lord nooooooooooo

?They are trying to figure out how you can make adjustments to take some of the pressure off the back leg,? Gardenhire said. ?They were talking about that today, just trying to figure out how we can make him more comfortable in there.

?But we can?t do too awful much.?

Cabrera spent some time before early batting practice on Thursday with Mariners coach and legend Ichiro Suzuki. Cabrera, with a bat in his hand, was showing Ichiro how he?s had to modify his swing to compensate for the knee.

?All we can do is keep running him out there,? Gardenhire said. ?He?s going to play. He?s going to be our DH.?

there are two possible scenarios.

1. Surgery will repair the problem. If this is a solution, do it now. Why wait?

2. He has a chronic problem that can't be fixed with surgery. If this is the case, his career will end terribly. Worse than even I imagined.

I'm thinking if he finally lost some damn weight he'd feel much better. Get him doing cardio to lose 25-30 lbs before next season and I'd bet you'd see a difference.

hell yes. I lost about 25 lbs this spring and my knees feel 100% better.

To me he looks significantly heavier than he has ever been. I was watching the game the other day and he looked like Cecil Fielder. I bet he is pushing 290

Not sure they correlate. May as well take them out after 50 pitches so they don't potentially give up runs. Gotta protect those runs. Lol.

He sure does look much more "puffy"
