I'm going to go with, going out to eat, back when the nightmare or miracle is over. Should it be a miracle, I'll be happy. Should it be the mare it's margarita night

Miguel Cabrera's seventh-inning single is his 2646th career hit, tying him with Jimmie Foxx at 78th on MLB career list.

Nice to see Martin playing well lately.. Iggy .057 are you kidding me?

Chad Bell tonight: 4 IP, 6 H, 0 R, 1 BB (intentional), 3 K. 57 pitches, 37 strikes (5 swings-and-misses).

Worth Noting

If the Detroit Tigers' three-game sweep in Chicago offered a glimmer of hope, the four-game debacle at Progressive Field offered a dose of reality.

The Cleveland Indians beat the Tigers 9-3 Thursday to complete a four-game series sweep in which they outscored Detroit 18-5.

Tigers ace Michael Fulmer gave up a career-high eight runs and didn't make it out of the fourth inning.

He started the game by allowing his first home run of the season to lead-off man Francisco Lindor after a nine-pitch battle.

Jose Ramirez added a two-run home run in the Indians' four-run second inning.

The Tigers committed three errors that led to three unearned runs and further taxed Tigers pitchers when they could least afford it.

Tigers center fielder Leonys Martin had three hits again on Thursday to register consecutive three-hit games for the first time in his career. While he had three hard hits on Wednesday (a single, double and a home run), two of his three hits on Thursday were bloop jobs.

Tigers second baseman Dixon Machado broke an 0-for-12 skid with an RBI double in the 8th. Seven of his 10 base hits this year are doubles.

Michael Fulmer allowed a career-high nine runs (six earned) on eight hits over three-plus innings. He walked none and struck out two. He threw 72 pitches, 46 for strikes.
Fulmer had allowed one run over 13⅓ innings in his first two starts, but was hit hard by the Indians. He gave up a leadoff homer Lindor, then a double to Jason Kipnis, who later scored on a throwing error by John Hicks. Fulmer gave up a two-run double to Lindor and a two-run home run to Jose Ramirez in the second inning. Fulmer left in the fourth after giving up a two-run single to Kipnis.

Leonys Martin led off the third inning with a double and scored on an RBI single by Nicholas Castellanos, who also drive on Martin in the seventh.
Martin finished 3-for-5 and had three hits in back-to-back games for the first time in his career.
Castellanos was 2-for-5 with two RBIs.
Miguel Cabrera went 1-for-3 with a walk. He finished 2-for-15 in the series and 4-for-23 on the road trip.
Hicks had a double in the eighth.
Jose Iglesias went 0-for-3 and is batting .057 for the season.
Dixon Machado had an RBI double to left in the eighth. It was his team-leading seventh double of the season.

Lefty Chad Bell, called up earlier in the day from Triple-A Toledo, allowed six hits and no runs over four innings. He walked one and struck out three.
Joe Jim?nez allowed one hit in one inning.

what a shame. The offense comes alive (compared to the past 3 games) and scores 3 runs but Fulmer and the Defense take a huge shit all over the field.

There is some good news as we close out the week. The Tigers bullpen cart is ready and has painted flames on the front. Only thing missing is the gas can dangling off the back of it as a testament to our stellar bullpen play over the years.
