Tigers vs. White Sox Preview: Should we start to trust Jordan Zimmermann again?
A recent rough patch appears to be short-lived, as Zimmermann is coming off two solid outings.

I read something funny today

Watch avila deal him to Someone in the div for more org fodder than still pay 95% of his deal

After today’s game vmart seems to have made it official

I'm pretty sure this is going to be it. This is going to be it," he said. "I'm just enjoying these last six weeks and then finally go home."

The season I'm having is definitely one of the worst seasons of my career," he said. "But I'm just really thankful that God put me in this position. I'm 39 and still trying to play. I'm out there battling with young guys that throw 100 (mph), but I'm just thankful that I'm healthy and am here trying to do something to help the team."

Tigers' John Hicks to undergo surgery, likely out for season.
Mlive

Hicks will undergo surgery Thursday for what Gardenhire described as a "bilateral core muscle defect."

Hicks went on the disabled list a week ago with a strained groin. He was evaluated in Philadelphia by groin specialist Dr. William Meyers, who will perform the surgery.

Hicks, 28, played in 81 games for the Tigers this year, hitting .260/.312/.403 with nine home runs in 312 plate appearances.

yup...I think any way you look at it...they suck!

Did I miss the part where people expected more? Especially with not having Miggy(even before the injury he wasn’t much) and Getting basically nothing from the VMart retirement tour. Outside of McCann and Machado, who really was that disappointing at the plate? Hell, I’d say many of the guys did more than expected.

I think everybody is pretty much doing what I expected. I fully expected V-Mart to suck. Nick got off to a hot start but he is pretty much where I expected him to be. Candy and Goodrum have more HRs than I would have guessed but the rest of their performance is about what I would have thought. I thought the hitters would suck and they have come through.
