Nick Castellanos recorded his 18th game with three-or-more hits this season last night, tied for the second-most in the Majors.

September 18, 1984: The Tigers clinch the American League East championship with a 3 - 0 win over the Brewers as starter Randy O'Neal records his first ML win. Tom Brookens hits a solo home run. Willie Hernandez gets his 30th save.
Hernandez strikes out Jim Sundberg, and 48,810 fans erupt in celebration at #TigerStadium #Relive84
Roger Craig: "It looks like we finally have overcome the legend of the 1968 World Champions ... As great as the Tigers were in 1968, they are history. Now we're the heroes. ...
I never dreamed so many tears and so much champagne would flow on this night"
Detroit becomes the 4th team this century to be in first place every day of the season, joining the 1923 Giants, the 1927 Yankees, and the 1955 Dodgers.

4 innings, Beavis with 66 pitches and 5 K's,

odorizzi 50 pitches and 4 k's,

no score,

I suggested the tigers shut fulmer down for the rest of the year last month! I don't know why those tigers never listen to me

6th inning, Beavis

double ground runner to third,

Beavis getting screwed by this home plate ump to Grossman,
2 pitches right in the strike zone box called balls, he walks,

coach comes out to talk,

single run scores,

Tigers trail,

2 - 0 now,

I think I missed the Beavis joke...can somebody fill me in?

I think it started last year with me calling him that, When I watched him he can't stay still or calm, he's like he just ate 5000 candy bars or cookies, and the sugar flip out like Beavis, hence...

If memory serves I think we started calling brayan villarreal bevis some years back, now it's just required someone on the team has the name since he's not there anymore

Whomever looks to be the biggest hyper spaz

That's right, I almost forgot about him, lol.

The good news is that there are only nine games left after tonight
The bad news is I'm not sure they'll be any better next year

But at least Miggy will be back hopefully 100%

With Miggy back, they MIGHT win 70 games.

61-90

Still need to win two more to avoid 100 with 11 to go
