Good thing that this game isn't @ CoPa tonight. Heavy T-storms and a tornado warning for southern Wayne county in effect until 9:30 pm.

So here a question who will be the Tigers lead off hitter in 2018? Current group have a combine .220 avg. Best is Mikie at .262. The rest are cough, gage, and what's that on the ground!
1 Free Agent
2 Some one on the 4o man roster.
3 Trade
4 A real minor leaguer
5 Another rule 5 guy?
6 A walk on Willie Mays Hays where are you.

Tigers are starting ONE batter .250 and over. Twins have SEVEN, .250 and over.

Candelario has been a big disappointment at the plate, I had him pegged for batting at least in the high .270s, but maybe he is still having arm issues from his earlier injury this season.

You can't have a competitive team, if 95% are batting near or below the Mendoza line for the season. Even half is too much.

Should he be playing hurt/arm issues then this a case on miss management.

The Tigers could be even worse next season, since it was mainly their SPs who have prevented them from losing 100+ games, and the traded Fiers was one who played a big part in that. Miggy's nearly entire lost season to injury was while batting, not fielding or running-related. My gut feeling is that he won't have another full season of play w/o being on the DL for parts of each of them.

iirc, Candelario's wrist is the issue. and that raises the question of this medical team running the shit show.
What they did with Fulmer, had a problem with his knee early on, yet they kept putting out there to show case him, and it caused problems with control/command until the meniscus tore,
Tigers have a 400 pound team trainer, when most teams have someone in shape,

5 1/2 innings and a nobody is shutting the Tigers out on a 1 hitter,

Yup KC is right, there is a pattern here, if candys wrist isn’t 100% why is he still playing and not shut down for the rest of the year.

The Tigers franchise will have matched their longest w/o a WS championship streak @ 34 years, tying the streak from 1901-34 after this season soon ends.

They still got nutton on the lions!

Tigers with a big 8th, McCould comes through with a 2 rbi double, Tigers lead 4-1.

Clown show WP and wild throw to second moves the leadoff Mauer from first to third.

Don’t really see any point in not having shut joe down for the reminder yet either
