Game 16: Lions @ Packers Thread

Why do some keep saying with "the talent we have." We have the talent to win against bad teams. Talent enough to win on the road, against poor competition. That's it's..we don't have the talent to be good teams and certainly not on the road.

Maybe next year we can go an entire season without having to analyze a "stomp".

A bit? Some of these guys need to be talked off the ledge.

This might be the worst overreaction I have ever seen in the world of sports.

It's year one of a new system, with a new coach. Did people honestly expect the Lions to roll to a 16-0 season? It's not uncommon for teams to completely tank under a new coach... see Tampa Bay and Lovie Smith. We actually made the playoffs and still have a least one game to play.

It's a pretty positive season so far.

How dare you!!

And you're an idiot. How was Rodgers so much better than Stafford? Comp % ...that's it!!!

you call me an idiot and then ask how Rodgers was better. Did you watch the game? Rodgers actually threw the ball where his players could catch it. Stafford...not so much. At their feet, 15' over their heads...it was a clown show!

Here is his grade from PFF

Matthew Stafford, QB: -3.3

Breakdown: A completion percentage under 50% is usually an indicator of poor performance and Stafford?s grade reflects his generally inaccuracy throughout. Stafford just missed too many throws, with two possible game changing throws that stood out about the rest. The first was a deep post route that would have likely been a touchdown from Calvin Johnson which was overthrown midway through the second quarter. The second throw came later in that same drive when on foruth down he threw a wildly off-target throw over Golden Tate?s head.

Signature Stat: Stafford completed just 8-of-17 passes for 78 yards on throws targeted within 0-10 yards of the line of scrimmage.

Here is Rodger's grade

Aaron Rodgers, QB: +3.4

Breakdown: This one looked like it was heading to a much different outcome after Rodgers pulled up holding his leg on a touchdown pass late in the second quarter. Nothing about the injury looked minor, but the quarterback was able to return and play near perfect football with just a single incomplete targeted pass (Q4-11:32) in the second half. The defense dictated short throws and Rodgers was happy to continue taking them. He didn?t attempt a single target over 20 yards downfield and had just five (all completed) over 10 yards down field.

Signature Stat: Rodgers worked the middle of the field all day long, completing 15-of-16 passes there for 213 yards and a +3.9 grade.

And he did it on one leg! A one legged Rodgers is better than a healthy Stafford!

Its too late..we lost Tony. He's gone too far to the other side.

Yup when completing 50% of your passes and completely missing wide open stationary targets standing 10 feet away from you by 15 feet becomes good......pack it in....its all over for your team....you no longer deserve to win.

We have the 2nd worst qb in the playoffs after ryan lindley. That's not going to win you much.

I never said he was "good". I said he was ok. Did he lose us that game? Not a chance

Of course don't forget the 5.3 YPA vs 10.3 YPA. Yeah they were the same outside completion %, lol.

Yeah because yards are all that matters. Especially when one throws 22 times and the other over 40. Yeah they're the same.
