Game 2: Lions @ Panthers Thread

I get the Arizona comments. I agree!! Just pointing out that the Gmen stuck around. And go look at the stat line on that game. Stanton did nothing to win or lose that game. they played ball control offense and shut down D most of the game. Stanton did squat. You could have QB'd that team and won today lol. Give me a fucking break..

And I'm going to credit that Carolina D again. They shut down a good offense, but when you start fumbling, missing FGs and leaving points on the field, your strategy changes. Lombardi will get better, he has to, it's a learning experience. That's a Top 10, maybe Top 5 D the Lions went up against.

agreed. but thats basically the same "ball control" game Carolina played. Their offense is terrible...they literally have no offensive threats and they put up 24 points because we shot ourselves in the foot over and over again....eeriliy sounds familiar.

You seriously just had to put 3 guys on Greg Olsen and they would have scored 0 points....but our awesome new dcord decided not to cover anyone the entire game.

Oh good gawd Tony has taken a steel chair to the back of LKP and he's down. This is despicable King. A downright travesty. Now he's got the belt! He's walking around with the Homer belt raised high above his head. I think I'm going to be sick King.

Not bad lol.

Nothing homer about it though. They looked like shit at times, but Stafford wasn't the issue. he forced a couple of balls, but when you have an alien as a WR, you're going to do that.
This team wins 8-9 games ......so homerish eh?

They are dog shit... That's why they lost at home to the Cardinals led by a guy who's a perennial backup... You just made my point 100 percent for me.

Agreed we blitzed too much. Need a happy medium now

No you're not a homer. You just have low expectations. Which to me is even more depressing.

I'm not going to argue the "shoot ourselves in the foot" comments. I 100% agree.

As for Olsen? He's probably the most underrated TE in the game today.

I wasn't saying the Giants are good. Are you dense?? I was just pointing out that they hung around with a good Zona team, even if Stanton was playing. And they might as well have had a pylon back there because Drew did nothing.

You think they're going to win more?? lmfao. Who's the homer now?? Geezus Krist...that's rich!!

Umm... hellloooo, McFly... The fact that Stanton did horrible makes it even worse that the Giants lost.

If I didn't think they were going to win more than 8 games then what's the point? And if I did I'd be calling for the head of the guy in charge of this team for the better half of a decade, not making excuses for him and his mismanagement. A team full of his guys in win now mode (by their own evaluation) in a league of parity where a team like Houston that won two games last year has won two games in two weeks. Do you think Mayhew thinks he's going to win 8? No? Then you are disagreeing with him, that's a good start.

So you call me a homer when I back Stafford? Yet you think they're more than an 8 win team? And I'm the delusional one?? Fucking beauty!!

And Houston has played Washington and Oakland, bud. Slow your fn roll on the Texans train turning the corner lol.

Who takes the blame for an eight win season? Or is that success in your books?

So just to recap, you predict our team will be unsuccessful and "EVERYBODY" is to blame, yet you are up in arms when any poster criticizes the team's lack of success or ANYBODY (QB, Defense, GM, Coaches) associated with that lack of success. Is that correct?
